Drodzy Artyści i Przyjaciele!

Możecie śmiało udostępniać Wasze zdjęcia i filmy na wydarzeniu Silver On!line.

Link do wystawy znajdziecie TUTAJ.

TUTAJ.

During the next journey for four decades of SILVER we move to the beginning of the new millennium. t the beginning of the 2000s, the Legnica SILVER Festival entered the international arena. With each subsequent year, the creators more and more often participated in jewelry exhibitions, and the Gallery hosted a group of artists from abroad. The program of the event has also changed – the last Goldsmith Form Review took place in 2002, and already at the turn of 1998/1999 the thematic International Jewellery Competition started. At this time prof. Sławomir Fijałkowski became a general consultant of the event. HERE.

W ramach cyklu prezentacji „Cztery Dekady Przez Srebro” wyciągamy dla Was fotograficzne perełki z wydarzeń uwiecznionych w obiektywie naszego aparatu – zobaczcie sami! TUTAJ.

Almost 60 exhibitions of art jewellery, the media firestorm around the International Jewellery Competition SCANDAL (2006), as well as the confrontation of artists with such issues as the definition of beauty, deco- and reconstruction of the concept of art in postmodernism, or the decadent moods of the end of the first decade of the new millennium – this is how the “silver” activity of the Legnica Art Gallery in 2005-2009 could be briefly summed up. As a part of the “Four Decades Through Silver” series of presentations, we are drawing for you photographic gems from the events – see for yourselves! HERE.

Ramka-ze-zdjeciami-2010-2014

W 2011 roku miała miejsce wystawa kolekcji prof. Ireny Huml pt. „Granice srebrnych przestrzeni… Polska biżuteria II połowy XX wieku”, przybliżająca historię i rozwój polskiego złotnictwa. Wśród tematów Międzynarodowego Konkursu Sztuki Złotniczej – zyskującego coraz większą popularność pośród artystów na całym świecie – znalazły się hasła: MINIMUM, BUNT, RYTUAŁ, KLASYKA, SEXY.

Ramka-ze-zdjeciami-2015-2019

Cykl „4 dekady przez SREBRO” kończymy prezentacją zdjęć z kilku ostatnich edycji Festiwalu. Lata 2015-2019 to czas wyjątkowo intensywny, pełen niezapomnianych wystaw i pasjonujących spotkań z artystami. W ubiegłym roku miał miejsce uroczysty jubileusz, podczas którego wspólnie wspominaliśmy 40 lat historii, podsumowaliśmy dotychczasową działalność, a także z nadzieją i optymizmem spojrzeliśmy w przyszłość. Wierzymy, że następne lata naszej „srebrnej” działalności będą obfitowały w kolejne biżuteryjne wydarzenia artystyczne. TUTAJ.

Z niecierpliwością czekamy na kolejne legnickie spotkania w złotniczym gronie!

The series “4 decades through SILVER” ends with the presentation of photographs from the last few editions of the Festival. The years 2015-2019 are an exceptionally intense time, full of unforgettable exhibitions and fascinating meetings with artists. Last year we have celebrated the jubilee, during which we jointly remembered 40 years of history, summed up our previous activities and looked into the future with hope and optimism. We believe that the next years of our “silver” activity will abound in new jewellery artistic events. HERE.

We are looking forward to the next Legnica meetings in the goldsmith’s circle!

Artysta, performer, aktywista, uczestnik legnickich konkursów i wystaw.

Nie zapomnimy go, a dziś wspominamy w dwóch krótkich filmach.

A year ago, Gryza Mieczysław (1956-2019) left us forever. Unexpected, as always, tragic death interrupted the history he had been creating in Legnica for years. The legend he was. A story that he continued every year.

Artist, performer, activist, participant in Legnica competitions and exhibitions. In an amusing, surreal and often shocking way, he manifested his artistic message (usually referring to the festival’s theme), sometimes exposing himself and others to difficult legal consequences (as in the case of devastation of the historic wall in the hall of the Modjeska Theater in 2016), but always hitting the point.

His well thought-out peformances – specially prepared for “Legnica” – were an expression of his commitment and attachment to the matters he fought for, artistic courage and a testimony of authenticity. He was like Sisyphus, who carried his stone with dedication, humbleness, suffering and fighting for things imperceptible and indifferent to others.

Mietal (that is how we called him), Gryza performed his last show in Legnica in 2018. We will not forget it, and today we remind him in two short videos. The first shows Gryza, which we remember in Legnica, the second – that his life and art are one, that none of Legnica’s appearances was accidental and finally that this place was the space of many of his manifestos and constituted him as a rebel artist …
